So I hate to sound like a big fat cry baby but... I'm feeling a bit bummed about doing swaps. I usually like the pages I make for swaps but have no use for them. I always scrap my layouts to fit my pictures and can't ever fit pictures to predone layouts. I also feel like I can't do as much with a swap layout because I don't know what pics are going there and I always embellish last on my layouts to make it 'come together'. When I signed up for these swaps I loved the idea of the pages. My thoughts were 'oh that will be so cute' and 'I have such a great idea for a page with that theme!' I didn't really think about whether or not I could use them. I got my first 12x12 swap back last month. The pages were cute, not my style but still cute, and I felt really disappointed because even the layout I made I most likely won't ever use because it just doesn't fit with any of my pictures. This was the last 12x12 swap layout I had to do to fill all the spots I had signed up for. Even though I've felt like this for a while I still did my pages since I don't want to be a flaker. I even took that other spot in the fairy tale swap just the other day without thinking, but it's too late to go back and change that. Now that they are all done I do feel a bit relieved but that will only last until I go to the post office. Shipping 12x12s is expensive so not only am I probably not going to be able to use the most swap pages I get back, I'm also out all the shipping money as well. ;_; Wah, wah, wah... okay I'm done. Sorry you all had to read me whine :P At least I learned that I'm just not cut out for swapping layouts and can give them out as gifts, and hopefully the ladies that receive my pages will like them and be able to use them. I'm just too picky with what my goes in my albums!
