Spoon

Supplies : Dot and Stripe Paper and Kitchen Jouraling prompt by My Minds Eye; Ice Cream paper by Basic Grey; Thickers by American Crafts; Ribbon unknown

Time flies when you have kids! This was another redone page of a layout that was waiting to be finished. All it needed was the journaling and I'm sure I made it almost 2 years ago. This was back when I kept reading that to scrapbook more productively create your layouts then go back and fill in the journaling. Well, that happens to be a method that really doesn't work for me as I have quite a few layouts that ended up never getting the journaling put in. Apparently I'm one of those people that needs to finish something completely before moving on otherwise I won't get it done. This was one such layout and I didn't like the way the theme and pictures seemed lost in the monochromatic purple page I had created so I created a new one, this time using one of the newer Pagemaps sketches. Instead of matching the page to the colors in the pictures I took the theme and went with that. This layout was so quick and simple, but the papers were so busy I didn't want to add anything more to it. Even the journaling was fast "1 Spoon + 1 Bowl + Rice Cereal = an afternoon of tasty messy fun! @ 6 months" The craziest part for me was that I was doing a baby layout! I haven't done baby pictures in so long as I tended to scrap them as soon as I got them to stay caught up. Plus with all the baby naps, it makes it easier to carve out some mommy time. No naps + no school = no mommy time, lol.

Very sweet layout. I really love the way you did your title.

That's SO true about the mommy time! I'm still trying to figure out how to steal some away more often, lol!
