My Chalk Artist

Supplies : Pattern Paper, Glazed Brads, and Chipboard Elements from the Urban Pairie Line by Basic Grey; Ribbon and Cardstock by CTMH; Sheet Dot 2 paper by K I Memories; Border Strip by Sassafras; Journaling paper by Collage Press; Thickers Letter stickers by American Crafts

The wonderful thing about blogging is that even if my layouts don't get published in a magazine, I get to publish them here ^_~. This is the layout I submitted in December that didn't make the cut. As I've been looking in more magazines I've noticed that most projects have products coordinated from many different manufacturers, which is something I need to work on as I like to create layouts from a specific line of supplies rather than personalizing my set. I adore the layout and that's what really counts so I'm not disappointed (because I didn't really want to send it away, lol). Plus planning on submitting made me use some beloved papers instead of just letting them sit in my stash so there is an extra bonus :D Anyway, enjoy and have a terrific Thursday!

I really enjoy looking at all your layouts! Thanks for sharing! I did have a reaction to what you posted about submitting layouts and that you noticed layouts using one manufacturer. It bugs me that "they" do this. I much prefer to see layouts like yours where you have incorporated different lines of products in an eye pleasing way. How many of us have tons of products in our stash and want to see how well they can coordinate? (stepping off the box, now)

You do an outstanding job creating and good for you for enjoying the whole process!

Hiya, Marjorie! I haven't been blogging much lately, so I had a lot of catching up to do on your blog. As usual, I wasn't disappointed! I love all of the bright, cheery colors you've been using. And the "dirty toes" page is such a kick! Sorry your "chalk artist" layout wasn't published~it should have been!

Hope you are well. :)
