Christmas Aminals

Supplies : Pattern Paper by My Minds Eye; Cardstock, Inks, Markers, Brads, Life's a Jungle and Snowfriends stamp sets by CTMH; Snowfall stamp set by PTI; other CS by Pebbles; Big Brads by American Crafts; Snowflake punches by Marvy; White gel pen by Sakura; Glitter CS by Doodlebug

Each week Sparkle hosts a Christmas card challenge on Sunday and this week I decided to go with an aminal theme :D I had so much fun with the winter alligator cards a few weeks back that I thought I'd try a couple using more of these darlings with the snowmen's hats again. Both the lion and hippo are paper pieced, I used the marker and white gel pen to highlight them. I also used some glitter paper for the snowflakes to add a little sparkle to the cards. Another quick post today. Don't forget to check out Sparkle's Blog for the challenge and have a lovely Sunday!

It's a Cupcake Thing!

Supplies : Cardstock, Ink, and Brads by CTMH; Sentiment from Stampingbella; Ribbon, Damask Designs and Everyday Classics by PTI

This card makes me want strawberry cupcakes with orange flavored frosting! I love cupcakes but haven't made any since back in December which is a good thing for my waist line. I can eat half a dozen cupcakes in a single sitting, eek! Caitlyn wanted cupcakes while watching me make this card as well which is no surprise since she loves eating cupcakes. And I have to admit they are more fun to eat than cake ^_~. Anyway, just a really short post for today. I hope you all enjoy and have a great weekend! Huggles!

Sending a Happy Hello

Supplies : Cardstock, Button, Flowers, and Ink; Button, Ribbon, Damask Designs, and Everyday Classics by PTI; Waxy Flax

I love pretty cards but I notice I have a hard time making them, which is probably why I'm having so much fun with the Damask Designs set. It just adds a bit of pretty to everything you make with it and it's been easy to use. I tend to gravitate toward making cutesy cards more often so it's neat to be able to try something a bit different than what I'm used to :D

Even though Paul and I don't watch television, we do like to netflix some things that play on TV. The latest one we watched was the first season of Big Bang Theory which is totally up our alley since we are both gamer nerds. I even have my own 360 Live account so that I can have my own gamer points, lol! So yeah, totally my kind of humor. Our girls share our love for video games as well, they even have their own Miis even though they don't do anything on the Wii except the WiiFit. It was hilarious at the store this week because right now there are rows of easter baskets with themes on them and instead of pointing to the princess crown or the barbie or tinkerbell, they are both "Look! SPIDERMAN!!" lol. The newest Spiderman on the 360 has been the one Paul has been playing lately so they are big into him at the moment. It's funny because they will even make their little stuffed animals fight and of course there always has to be a bad guy. It made me sad the other day when Mao was singled out as the bad guy and the baby pandas had to fight him, lol. He always gets loved really good by the end of the day though ^_~ Anyway, enjoy and have a fabulous Friday!

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Supplies : Cardstock and Ink by CTMH; Ribbon, My Punny Valentine, Damask Designs, and Everyday Classics (Anniversary Set) by PTI

I've been playing around with my Papertrey stamps for some much needed stress relief. My past three cards posted were made around St. Patties day but these next few coming up are from yesterday. While Paul did great while on the IV treatment, Tuesday evening he wasn't doing very well and yesterday he seemed even worse. He said physically he feels better, but that his mind won't focus at all, even when I'm talking sometimes he can't remember what I am saying from one moment to the next (okay I know that might sound normal for some guys, lol, but Paul's usually really quick even with all the tangents I go off on and he's very witty. He always has a snarky comeback for everything except for in the past few months. It's one of the ways I can tell that he isn't doing well right now). Anyway, we're hoping that this is temporary as he had been really shaky Tuesday but yesterday he said it wasn't as bad. The girls have been such sweethearts through all this. Paul's IV treatment ended up having to be in home care so they watched Paul get his IV and tried to help him by getting stuff for him, lol. Then later when Paul was receiving a blessing they were so quiet and reverent, and then they wanted blessings too. It was so adorable! Anyway, I haven't made a baby card in forever so even though I didn't need one, I made one anyway which is funny because I remember just this last week we were talking about whether we were going to have any more babies with someone. I can't remember who it was we were talking to but we have both been in agreement that there won't be any babies for quite a while IF we even have any more, lol. Anyway, I hope you are all having a terrific Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

No Matter How Tall . . .

Supplies : Bloom and Grow Paper by My Minds Eye; Cardstock from Pebbles; Ink and Buttons from CTMH; Father Knows Best Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink; Waxy Flax

I just had to use my Bloom and Grow scraps to make another tree card. It's like the paper was made for this tree, lol. What's funny about this card is that there are so many mess ups, mostly with me cutting and gluing things in the wrong place, lol. But I think it actually turned out better than what I had in mind ^_~ This would be a great Father's Day card or even just an inspirational card to a mentor. Well, that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!
