Here is the other pool layout I did with just Caitie. I actually drew out a sketch while watching Handy Manny with the girls for the right page of the layout. When I started putting it together the left side just came to me. I'm really happy with the way this turned out as it uses circles which are a real challenge for me! This also answered one of my many curious thoughts about chipboard. Can it ever be used without having to alter it? And that answer is yes! The chipboard matched the greys and browns so well in the stripe paper that it was perfect just as it was! Yay for lazy scrappin'! lol
Cait was totally still timid about being in the pool this year. Last year she wouldn't get in the water at all saying there were sharks in the water! lol This year she did warm up to it a bit more but she only really liked being on the steps. I think because she could play more freely. Cait loved splashing and walking up out of the pool to soak in the sun on the poolside chairs. She'd let us take her out to wade in the water for a minute or so but then immediately want to go back to the steps. Swimming can be a scary thing, I know ^_~ At least this year there wasn't any talk of sharks though!
When I first saw the layout, the first thing I thought of was, Wow, that's a great sketch. I wonder where it came from. And then to read that you designed it yourself. Awesome. I'm definitely going to have to use your sketch, if that's alright. You've done a great job on your pool pictures. And it's good to know that "naked" chipboard can be used unaltered. I'll have to remember that.
