Grumpy Slumber Party

Colors : Sweet Leaf, Amethyst, Petal, Spring Iris (Color Challenge #3)

Stamps : Grumpabella (stamping bella), Slumber Party, It's a Party

I don't have any cute pajama bellas yet. But I do have grumpabella and she's sort of in her jammies!! I wanted to put BYOB someplace for 'Bring Your Own Bed' but decided if I was going to do that then I would use the bed stamp in Slumber Party. I had already colored the pillow so I went with this one :D Made this for the Bella sketch challenge #13. Bella is colored with pencils (skin and hair) and with my blending pen with ink pads (robe, slippers, and cup). The pillow was colored with my blending pen and inks on amethyst CS and accented with a white get pen.

Color Challenge #3 and how to do the Butterfly in my sample :D

The color challenge for this week is :

Amethyst
Petal
Sweet Leaf
Spring Iris

To play use at least 3 of the 4 colors. If you don't have CTMH colors no biggie :D Just use the closest you have to those shades. My sample is in the post below. I'll be hosting this color challenge weekly on my blog now as well as the CTMH Consultant Forum. Send me a link to your creation via email or post it in the comments here and I'll link your art to this post so we can see all the fun ideas with this color combo :D

Color Challenge Cards :

Alison's Card
Sue's Card
Sparkle's Card
Jenn's Card
Mary's Card

Now how to make the butterfly :D She's really easy. First I inked her up in amethyst, then I rolled her in sweet leaf making sure to get closer to the middle. Then I rolled her again, mostly just at the tips in spring iris. I stamped her on white cardstock then cut her out and pop dotted her to the card. Next I added the rhinestones using liquid glass as an adhesive, then went around the edges of her wings and filled in her body and antennae with ice stickles. Viola!

And thank you Sparkle for letting me know about the SBS4 yahoo group :D I didn't realize they had started one ^_^. For all our SBS4 sisters, if you haven't found out yet we have a Yahoo group going on now HERE. Make sure you sign up :D There's already an image exchange going on and hopefully we'll have some more fun challenges up soon!

Butterfly Color Challenge

Colors : Petal, Amethyst, Sweet Leaf, Spring Iris, White Daisy

Stamps : Friendship Blessings, Flutter, From Me to You

Accents : Ice Stickles crystal, Rhinestones, Garden Green conches, White Organdy

Made this for the weekly color challenge I host on the CTMH consultant board. I really had no idea where I was going with this card. The only thought I had when I started was that I liked the colors and I wanted to make something pretty. I started out with just the flowers then pulled out my butterfly stamp set that I love but haven't used in forever. A bit of random stamping, masking, cutting out, and stamp rolling in this card. Funny that I haven't ever used Petal before though I just adore that shade of purple.

It's been a 'long' time!

Papers : SEI, Bazzil text/shim CS, CTMH CS

Stamps : Just so Hippy (Gina K), For Every Occassion (CTMH)

Accents : Key Lime eyelets, Ribbon (CTMH RR)

So I wanted to use up the last bit of that SEI paper and I wanted to play with the giraffe stamp. I must be in the mood for challenging myself because using the very last scrap pieces is a huge challenge for me since I like being able to cut things to the size I need. Uses up the scrap of SEI paper and the rest of my Bazzil paper (I turned it over to have the darker mat side). I kept messing up on my giraffe and had to stamp her three times. The first I messed up on stamping, the second I didn't like the way I colored her, and this one finally came out right. I also wanted the sentiment on the outside but it wasn't going to fit. The inside says "It's been a 'long' time!"

Answers to a couple questions

Laurel asked me on a comment how I get 3 columns on my blog :D I don't quite remember exactly how I had to do it, but I DO remember that it's a template that I found HERE at Blogcrowds. It has a lot of fun blogger templates that are really easy to use with blogspot. I also have a link to them on the bottom of my left column. I think the link was automatically put there with the template.

Jenn also asked me how I do the swirls on some of my cards. I use the Cuttlebug and its embossing folders ;D Some of the other embossing I've used aside from the swirls is the snowflakes, birthday text, bubbles, and flower circles. The Cuttlebug also diecuts but I've only used mine for the embossing since I'm not much of a die cut girl.

And I've had a couple ladies ask how I find the time to create :D Here on my blog as well on another forum. Most are probably asking jokingly, but just for fun I thought I'd put an answer. I don't have any big secret. My hubby helps out around the house and with the girls when he gets home so that I can get more done (more of everything all around) so I do get a little time during the day but most of my crafting is done after my girls go to bed at the wonderfully early hour of 7:30 ^_~ When I find a few spare minutes throughout the day I try to set aside my supplies for what I want to make later; pick out my paper, stamps, and maybe my embellies though usually I don't know what embellies I want to use until after near the end of making something. I also don't have a whole lot of scrap stuff so it's easy for me to pick out stuff since I pretty much know in my head everything I have. Easy as pie, right?

So that's that :D A couple questions answered. Some other questions ladies have asked they've discovered the answers on their own before I was able to reply. Just a tip for finding the stamps I use (another FAQ) : I put the name of the company next to the stamp set I've used unless it's CTMH. I have all the places I shop online at on my Links and Shopping widget at the top of my lefthand column. You can find the places that I got my stamps at there ^_~. So I hope that helped and that everyone had a great weekend!

Oh so Cool

Papers : SEI (floral), Bazzil textured/shimmer CS, CTMH CS in Baby Pink, Crystal Blue, Black, and Colonial White

Stamps : Sans Small Alpha

Accents : Buttons (Tres Jolie), Big Blooms (CTMH), Black Brads, Simple Alpha dimentional elements

I have been printing off some of the pdf monthly archives from Page Maps and decided to try one of the layouts. This one is from Dec '07. I have a hard time using circle pictures in my layouts and thought this would be a great challenge. These pics also seemed like just the right kind to use with this type of layout as well. Uses most of the rest of the SEI paper from my So Behind card :D. Usually I scrap first then use the left overs for cards. This time I did it backwards. Audrey being oh so cute in her daddy's quicksilver cap. She looks like a little skater girl!

So Behind

Stamps : Just so Hippy (Gina K)

Paper : SEI, Bazzil shimmer/textured CS (pink), CTMH CS

Accents : Black Spiral, Hollyhock organdy (CTMH RR), pop dots

Isn't this little hippo such a cutie!! I love her! I just got this stamp set in the mail today and picked up the SEI and Bazzil paper today as well at Pebbles :D They had an anniversary sale this weekend, 25% of everything!! I was a really good girl though and only spent $10. Well, it makes it easy to be good when you have a very limited time bracket to shop in and an overactive preschooler with you, lol. I'm expecting her to steal this card tomorrow. She's already claimed the sheep valentine I made a few posts back! It was actually the only bribe she would take in exchange for not bringing all her my little ponies to school! Cait definitely keeps my life adventurous!
What happened to the previous post? Well, while I was putting up this super cute card my eyes nearly burned at seeing such an off card on my blog, lol. So if you saw my ugly card you know that not all my art turns out pretty! If you missed it consider yourself lucky :D I won't say it's the ugliest card I ever made, but I will say it did hurt my eyes! (probably from the fluorescent pink!)

Easy Pleasin' 3x3s

Colors : Hollyhock, Blush, Sweet Leaf, Garden Green, Goldrush, Cocoa

Stamps : Solos "T", Friendship Blessings

This is just a white piece of CS stamped! I'm selling some of my used stamps that are just sitting around collecting dust and I thought it would be nice to make a simple/inexpensive 3x3 to say thanks to these ladies because I really do appreciate them buying these up and being so patient with a first time seller. I wanted something quick but also pretty. This is what I came up with. I'm rather happy with them :D Maybe I'll try a blue combo next!

1.24.2008

Spoil Yourself

Colors : Watermelon, Sunkiss Yellow, Ocean (BCC12)

Stamps : Bubblebella

Accents : Prima (pink flower), Just Blooms Autumn Daisy (white flower), Rhinestones, Prisma Glitter, Organdy (white and yellow), waxy flax, bigger brad (sunny yellow)

Made this for the #12 Bella color challenge. Challenge is hot pink, teal, and banana yellow. This was a fun color combo after I got over the 'what am I going to make with that?' mode. Everytime I have to use a teal/turquoise type of color I am thrown lol. Her tub is more pink in RL than it shows in the pic. I looks red here, but really it's bright pink :D I am still awaiting my new bellas. I'm hoping that they ship soon!! I ordered them last week, the day goodluckabella released! I'm so excited, I can't wait to play with her and all my other gals!

Just for fun, the Bellas I am anxiously waiting for :

goodluckabella
superbella
rockabella
feelabella
balloonbella
mwahbella
cupcakeabella
savvyshoppabella
emmybella
veggiebella
flowahbella
and yertle... he's not a bella... but he's CUTE!

Yes I splurged :D I haven't ordered since my first order back for my b-day. Never mind that my birthday was just before Christmas! I did good :D I waited over a whole month before placing my second order. That took A LOT of self control on my part! I still have a ton on my wish list though, lol. Hopefully these new ladies will keep me busy for a few months while I save up more money for da bellas!

Mega Blocks!

Colors : Hydrangea, Sunny Yellow, Bubblegum, Holiday Red

Papers : Cutie Pie PP, Carnival B&T

Stamps : Essential Alpha, Woodcut Alpha

Accents : Silver Brads

Put on your sunglasses (or at least dim your monitor) because this layout is BRIGHT! I'm not used to doing bright layouts like this but I wanted to match the blocks in the pictures. At first I tried to think of ways to tone the layout down a little since I'm not used to such a shocking color combo but ended up just going with it. In the end, I think it turned out pretty cute. Way different than what I'm used to doing, but cute none the less :D Uses Imagine's Sweet Symphony.

A Girl and her Pony

Colors : Crystal Blue, Honey, Bamboo, Col. White, Chocolate

Papers : Caprice

Stamps : Playful Flourishes, Homestead Alpha, Amore Caps, Simple Stitches

Accents : Primas; Just Blooms big blooms, white daisy, and autumn sunflower; bigger brads and mini brads; buttons (various); waxy flax

I've been wanting to scrap these pictures with Caprice for a while but have just been lacking in inspiration for my photos. Used Take Ten template from Cherish except that I didn't make a 10 list, though there are 10 strips :D. The left layout has 2 strips with Caitlyn and Cinnamon on one and the date of the pictures on the other one. The other eight strips on the right page are a poem that I wrote real quick. Poem reads "Every little girl needs a pony, To love and to cuddle. And every pony needs a girl, to neigh at and to nuzzle. For all girls love their ponies, Chocolate brown or dappled grey. They need a pony to pet and hug, to laugh with when they neigh." Not a fantastic poem but I thought it was cute :D Tons of flowers again. I can't help it, I love flowers!! The star buttons were from a set of baby buttons (I think), that I got back when I was preggers with Caitie, lol. I've finally used them up! They were the oldest thing I have in my stash :D Most of my stuff is from just this past year.

Wool you be mine?

Colors : Heavenly Blue, Indian Corn Blue, Cranberry, Holiday Red (ink) for CC150 on SCS

Stamps : Punny Farm (MFT), Ho Ho Ho (CTMH)

Accents : Eyelets (MM), Rickrack, Satin Ribbon

I just got these in the mail today!!! I love these sheep (well I love all the animals on there, lol) :D And the color challenge seemed to fit them so well! I actually masked for the first time with this card. With all the cards I've made I could probably give my hubby one every day in Feb until Valentines! I'd have to make a tiger one for Valentines day though. Tigers are his fave! And seeing that I've made 30 cards this month already and only 8 pages I think I need to start concentrating on my scrappin' otherwise I'll never catch up! lol Now, how to use punny farm in a layout.....

1.21.2008

Kiss a Froggie

Colors : Key Lime, Baby Pink, Holiday Red, Black

Stamps : Princess

Accents : Key Lime big brads, Red Satin Ribbon, Prisma Glitter

Made for the second CTMH color challenge I'm posting. It's been forever since I've used this little guy and I've always thought he was pretty cute. Glittered him with Prisma glitter. Scallop circle on pop dots. I think now I should have put the little froggie on pop dots too. Oh well :D

You Go Girl

Colors : Hydrangea, Watermelon, White

Paper : Dots (CTMH), Text (unknown)

Stamps : Ipodabella

Accents : Rhinestones, Flower (Heidi Swapp), Prisma Glitter, Ice Stickles crystal, Liquid Glass

For the #12 Bella sketch. I'm not used to making bright cards like this, but I think she turned out alright :D I really wanted to use some music paper, but alas I have none and all the scrap stores are closed right now. It's missing just one thing and that's the cute polka dot hot pink ribbon I saw the other day and didn't buy, lol. Well, the ribbon might be too much now, but when I started making the card I was all 'that ribbon would have been perfect!' lol Glitter on the fuzzy part of her outfit, her purse and Ipod. Liquid Glass on the notes. Bella colored with pencils.

1.20.2008

Shoppabella

Colors : Goldrush (ink), Taffy, Indian Corn Blue, Sweet Leaf, Twilight (stripe)

Papers : Basic Grey, CTMH CS and stripe

Stamps : Savvyshoppabella, Rustic Flowers

Accents : Prisma Glitter, Ice Stickles crystal, waxy flax, organdy

Using up my one scrap piece from the Basic Grey paper I used on 'my sweet, my lovely' layout. I like the fresh spring colors :D Bella is colored with pencils and shimmered up with prisma glitter. I used the stickles on the flowers.

1.19.2008

Savvyshoppabella :D

Colors : Garnet, Breeze

Papers : Mind's Eye, CTMH CS

Stamps : Savvyshoppabella (from Sparkle)

Accents : Primas, Rhinestones, Chocolate brad, Chocolate Satin Ribbon

A card with a bella image Sparkle gave me :D Also uses some of my new Mind's Eye papers (the valentines pack) I am so loving savvyshoppabella! I also put 'makeup' on my bella for the first time, just a little eye shadow.

Fun Stuff from Sparkle

Guess what I found in my mailbox today? :D Sparkle sent me these super cute bella images!! Isn't she just a sweetie! She must have known I've been coveting savvyshoppabella :D

So as soon as I got the chance I started playing. My hubby was still eating lunch and asked 'what are you doing?' 'Can't you tell?' Then he sits up further and looks 'oh..... you're playing' then laughs. 'Yup!' :D Cait even came up to look and said 'oh pretty!'. Thank you Sparkle!!! You've totally made my day!

1.17.2008

You know you love me

Colors : Hollyhock, Blush, Baby Pink

Paper : Retired Garden B&T (CTMH)

Stamps : Grumpabella, Princess, Sans Small Alpha, Because I Love You

Accents : Pink Satin Ribbon, Baby Pink Brads

Grumpabella for Valentines!! I made her for the #11 Bella color challenge. I also reused the #11 sketch challenge as well. I really need to get more Bellas! Poor Grumpabella needs a rest, it's no wonder she's always grumpy! lol

My Sweet, My Lovely

Colors : Indian Corn Blue, Sweet Leaf, Vanilla Cream, Taffy, Twilight

Papers : CTMH Cardstock and monochromatic pattern paper, Basic Grey (floral print)

Accents : Primas, CTMH Just Blooms and Big Blooms, Brads (CTMH), Buttons (Various)

Techniques : Sanding and scissor edge distressing

I finished the left side of this layout yesterday. These are some of my favorite pics of Audrey and she's in my favorite dress. I wanted these pages to be really special. I had actually gotten the Basic Grey paper that day on a whim. I couldn't believe how perfect it went with these pictures. Base is Indian Corn Blue CS with the edges sanded with the roughest grit on the sanding block (CTMH). Sweet leaf and twilight retired B&Ts for added layers and I used the lighter side of the twilight texture CS (sanded) for the main photo mat and one of the smaller mats. I used a lot of flowers and buttons but I really love how this came out. It's well worth it considering how much I love these pictures of her.

You are my Joy

Papers : Seredipity, Caprice

Stamps : Serendipity

Accents : Circle Window Charms, Chocolate Satin Ribbon, Chocolate & Colonial White Brads, Waxy Flax, Pop dots, Simple Alpha Dimensional Elements

I created this layout with inspiration from Pat Klassen's OOYB challenge. The challenge was to use this quote:

Far away there in the SUNSHINE, are my HIGHEST aspirations.
I may not REACH them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
BELIEVE in them, and try to FOLLOW where they LEAD.
~Louisa May Alcott

I really liked the quote and wanted to use it but I just didn't have any pictures that I felt fit the way I wanted with the quote. What I ended up doing was keeping the emphasized words and creating my own quote to fit with my pictures. My changed quote:

1.15.2008

Hay Girl

Colors : Taffy, Holiday Red, Vanilla Cream, Cocoa

Stamps : Cowgirl, Small Sans Alpha

Accents : Taffy eyelets, Cranberry Grosgrain

This uses one of my favorite stamp sets. I love this cowgirl :D but I never know what to do with her. I also made this card for a color challenge that I started.

My Best Friend's Kitchen

When I first started this challenge I didn't have any method set up yet. In fact I didn't even think I'd be doing more than just a couple of these color challenges! lol There was no real rhyme or reason in the beginning but isn't that how it always is ^_~ However, even 6 months later I do remember the inspiration for these colors and that was food. Dough actually. Red just seems like a 'food' type colors to me so it went in with my doughy colors :D To play use at least 3 of the colors and send me a link so I can add it here to this post. Have fun! Editted : 07/17

Vanilla Cream
Taffy
Holiday Red
Sunflower

Mary's Chilly Layout

My Sample:

Colors : Holiday Red, Taffy, Vanilla Cream
Stamps : Playful Flourishes, Fairy Dust, Amour Caps and Lowercase
Accents : Rhinestones, Ice Stickles crystal

So I pulled out the recipe to make these Fairy Rolls. A wonderful recipe given to me over a year ago by one of my best friends. And what do you know, this recipe is still on the same piece of scrap white cardstock that I had written it on at her house while we were scrappin' together. The back of this scrap piece has some stamped images that I ended up not using and I even remember which layout page they were going to be for lol. Anyway, I start making the rolls and some water gets on the little scrap. The ink from the images on the back start to bleed onto the front and I'm thinking, why in the world have I not made a cute recipe card for this yet?! So here it is, finally :D

1.14.2008

For You Bella

Paper : Lift Delights

Stamps : Prezziebella, For Every Occassion

Accents : Chocolate Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Ice Stickles crystal

For the #11 Bella sketch challenge. Her clothes are pieced and the prezzie had stickles on it for shimmer :D Another fun, simple card.

Hello Clickabella

Paper : Life Delights

Stamps : Clickabella, For Every Occassion

Accents : Prima Flower, CTMH button, CTMH ribbon from col white RR, flower brads (MM)

Another bella ball challenge. This one was fun to do and I think one of my favorite bella ball challenge cards :D. Her clothes are paper pieced and the rest of her is colored in pencil.

Humbug

Paper : Holly Days

Stamps : Grumpabella, Sans Small Alpha

Accents : Rhinestones

This is for a couple of the bella ball challenges. The first being the sketch and using your first bella. And the second being to use a non-holiday bella on a holiday card. I ordered a bunch of bellas together but Grumpabella was one of the firsts in my cart :D I loved her the moment I saw her! I keep imagining her saying "I'm already dressed up. Don't expect me to be jolly too!" on this card.

Tagged

Tag! So my fellow CTMH and SBS4 sister Nicole tagged me with this :D The game includes nine questions for me to answer and a tenth question, which I think I'm supposed to make up using 2 of something then tag two more bloggers. Hopefully I'm playing right lol.

1) Name your two favorite scrapbooking topics: My girls and spring! I love scrappin' my kids (really who doesn't? lol) and my favorite and best pictures seem to be taken during spring. I love the colors and fresh feeling of spring and my tartlet's baby and toddler pics.

2) Where are the two best places you've been to? This one is a little lengthy :D Home and our friends Kay and Julie's. Growing up in an abusive home was really difficult to say the least. To some people I guess it's easy to take your home for granted but all growing up I was so afraid to be home. Now that I have my own family with such a wonderful husband, home is the best place in the world. It's a comfort and haven. I can't think of a single better place I've been than home with him and my girls. The other best place is our friend's home. They are the nicest people and we can spend all day with their family just hanging out. I can be my nutty self, my kids can be crazy wild, and my hubby a silly nerd and they still love us. It doesn't get much better than to be with people that get along with you like that and in a place that's so warm and inviting.

3) Name two things you do every day: Kiss my girls and hubby and tell them I love them (and usually all throughout the day too) and make a list. Whether it's a to do list, grocery, catty wish list, I am always making lists and usually I'm doing a few throughout the day, lol.

4) Tell us two things that pretty much everyone knows about you: I love scrapbooking, pastries, and tea!! Okay, well that's three :P

5) Tell us two things that everyone DOESN'T know about you: I like playing video games and I have a foot obsession. Okay, well maybe it's not a foot obsession so much as I'm just obsessed with both of my daughter's feet. They are too cute!! I told myself that I was going to stop kissing their feet once they started walking but Caitlyn is 4 now and I am still kissing those adorable piggies (she walked at 10 months) and I love gobbling Audrey's fat little tootsies!!

6) Tell us two things that got you into the hobby of scrapping: The first was my best friend's mom in highschool (eleven years ago, scary!!). One day she just brought home stationary cardstock, stickers, and some deco scissors and told us about it. It wasn't long before we were pulling out pictures and creating. And when she took us to a scrap store (so very small and lacking back then) I fell in love. Then when we had Caitie I think I became obsessed. All those adorable baby pictures were just too cute to not scrap!!

7) Tell us two things that you want to accomplish in the next six months: Help Cait be able to speak more clearly and hold a decent conversation (she's in a program right now to help her with her developmental delays). And finish scrapping my 2006 pictures.

8) Name your two favorite scrapping tools: My paper cutter and my stamps. I can't live without either, or at least can't scrap at all without them!

9) Name your two favorite sources of scrapping inspiration: Online blogs/forums/galleries and my girls' clothes. I love online because it's free ideas and designs, and there's literally every type of style out there to peruse! My girls' clothes are great color and even artistic design inspiration.

Nicole's addition: What are your favorite brands of scrapbooking paper (notice, rebel that I am, I didn't limit it to two --LOL)? Mind's Eye, CTMH, and SU. I haven't even used any of my Mind's Eye paper because I just like LOOKING at them so much!! lol. I love most of the papers CTMH comes out with and have most all their paper packs and I've realized I really like a lot of the SU paper though I don't have any.

And my added question : 10) What are your 2 favorite embellishments to use? Flowers and anything shiny/glittery (glitter, stickles, rhinestones) :D In fact I think I have to use at least one of the other on every card or page I make and many time both! lol

So now I'm going to tag Kathi and Kari. Post your own answers on your blog and add one more question using two items. Hope you ladies have fun with this! If anyone else wants to play consider yourself tagged!!

Pinky Snow Bella

Colors : Bubblegum, Crystal Blue, Chocolate (BCC10 color challenge)

Stamps : Snowbunnybella, January Word Puzzle

Accents : Rhinestones, Chocolate satin ribbon

A standard sized card!!!! lol Okay, maybe that's only be exciting to me. I usually can't make standard size cards because I build my cards from the top down so I end up with all sorts of funny sizes! I cut up my snowflake cluster stamps in the word puzzle set (acrylix) to make the background paper. Bella is stamped in black and colored with pencils. I used an old bella sketch challenge BB2-Amy for this card and did this weeks color challenge (even though I don't have a bright blue like turquoise). I love the pink snow and chocolate goes with EVERYTHING!! Rhinestones were a fun after thought and I debated using the chocolate ribbon since it's on chocolate cardstock but I'm glad I did in the end! :D

Your Laugh, My Joy

Papers : Sweet Pea

Stamps : Flower Child, Boutique Alpha, Amour Caps, Playful Flourishes

Accents : Paper Flowers (white daisy just blooms and big blooms pinks), Buttons (spring collection), Bigger Brads (Spring Harmony)

A layout I finished last night. Uses Monologue from Imagine. The Titles/Journalling are select lyrics from Plumb :D. In the photo it's a little hard to read, the left page says "Your Laugh, My Joy Everytime, it's mine...." The right page says "Time stands still in your Smile" From two of my favorite songs on her Blink CD. The colors for the sweet pea pack are key lime, baby pink, lilac mist. The green photo mats are actually textured sweet leaf card stock (the back side). I used key lime, lilac mist, and blush inks. Added the flower babies for fun, I've been wanting to put that blooming baby in one of the big blooms for a while. These are some of my favorite baby pics of Audrey :D The funny thing is we had taken some almost exactly the same of Caitlyn at the same age with that wide open smile/laugh. I'm so glad Caitie's were already scrapped because at that age (about 5 months) they looked like the same baby!! I would have definitely gotten my girls' pics mixed up!

Flower Babies

Colors : Baby Pink, Sunkiss Yellow, Key Lime, Lilac Mist, Col. White

Papers : Sweet Pea, Harmony B&T

Stamps : Flower Child

Accents : Big Blooms, Button, Cream waxy flax, Baby Pink Organdy

I am lovin' these little flower babies! Here's a more classic colored baby card. I paper pieced the their pots with the same B&T that mats each baby. This was probably one of my quicker cards. I usually take forevah!

Sunflower Baby

Colors : Honey, Crystal Blue, Chocolate

Papers : Caprice

Stamps : Flower Child, Star Struck

Accents : Flowers (CTMH & Prima), Brads, Button Nail Head

Another card with these adorable Flower babies :D. I thought of this PP the moment I saw this little sunflower baby. The colors are just perfect for him! Using a SCS sketch SC136. I used my coluzzle to do the circle for the baby and the half circle cut on the PP. Scallop circle punched with Marvy's Giga punch. Brown and Blue flowers are Prima, the white and yellow are CTMH. Corner stamped in honey from Star Struck. I sanded the textured CS and ink distressed the baby's circle in Honey. Colored with pencils as usual :D

Baby Lady Bug Card

Colors : Holiday Red, Orchard Bouquet, Twilight, Garden Green

Stamps : Flower Child, Floral Charms, Random Thoughts

Paper : Floral Tapestry

Accents : Flowers, Brads, Paper Swirl, Garden Green Organdy

Using my new stamps, Flower Child! These little babies are so cute that when my box came I couldn't wait to use them. Unfortunately I did have to wait since the stamps were so cold I was afraid to use them until they warmed up a bit. Papers and floral charms SS was already out so I picked the ladybug first since she goes so well with the red. I've been loving this PP but I've said that already lol. I got floral charms when it first came out 2 years ago and haven't used it in at least a year! It's been really fun to revive this stamp set :D This card also uses the SC157 sketch challenge again. I was going to try and make a standard size card but it seems I can't get that right lol. Card measurement is 5 1/4 x 4 1/2 !

Hello Bella

The inside:

Colors : Holiday Red, Twilight, Garden Green, Orchid Bouquet, Vanilla Cream, Col White

Stamps : Clickabella , For Every Occasion, Floral Charms, Just Because

Papers : Floral Tapestry

Accents : Ribbon, pop dot

For a fun challenge on the Bella forums to make a trifold card. This is my first one evah! I didn't want to embellish it much because it's pretty small, finished size is 4x4, and only half of the front image is glued down because of the way the card opens. My bow is a little.... gimpy lol. I have such a hard time tying ribbon. I've watched all those tutorials on youtube and still can't get it right!

1.07.2008

Mornin' Glory

Colors : Holiday Red, Orchid Bouquet, Twilight, Crystal Blue, Garden Green

Papers : Floral Tapestry (CTMH)

Stamps : Grumpabella, Floral Charms, Sans Small Alpha

Accents : Amethyst swirls, flower brads (MM), Garden Green organdy

I didn't use glitter! I told myself I need to try and make a card without the glitter. I've glittered all my past dozen at least cards. In fact it's hard for me to think a card is 'finished' without glitter! This was for this weeks bella sketch challenge BSC10. I LOVED making this card! The flowers were very trial and error, I kept stamping and not liking the color combos. After about 8 flowers I finally got it right :D. You can tell from all her posts that Grumpabella is my fav!

Tub Relaxin' Bella

Papers : Floral Tapestry (CTMH)

Stamps : Bubblebella

Accents : Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Silver brads, Ice stickles

Another sketch challenge BSC03 and now I'm caught up. All I have left is this weeks sketch challenge now and the optional challenges :D Which of course I'm going to do! And can you believe it, this is the first time I've opened this PP to use it (I've ogled it plenty!). I got this 4 months ago!! I'm loving it so much I'm going to have to get another pack lol.

Frosty Bella

Colors : Heavenly Blue, Crystal Blue, White Daisy (BCC09 color challenge)

Stamps : Snowbunnybella, Newly Fallen Snow, Christmas Scripts

Accents : Prisma Glitter, Ice Stickles Crystal, Rhinestones, Silver brads, Ribbon

I really like how my snow RS background came out. I used the glue pad to stamp some of the snow circles and then sprinkled glitter on them. Bella is done in pencils as usual and you guessed it, this is for another sketch (BSC02) and color challenge BUT here's the good news.... I'm all done with the color challenges!!! Yay for me :D. Now I just have some sketches to do but I love sketches! I'm so happy I can use paper I want to now lol. Well, not that I couldn't before, but that was the 'challenge'!

Relaxabella

Colors : Heavenly Blue, Sweet Leaf, Bamboo (for the BCC08 color challenge)

Paper : Retired B&T Harmony Pack, Sweet Harmony PP

Stamps : PMSabella, Paradise

Accents : Paper Flowers, Bamboo big brads, Ribbon (col white ribbon rounds)

Done for another sketch and color challenge. Only a few more to go before I'm all caught up! Coloring with pencils again though this time I actually did soft and hard shades. It was fun to do the shading since I haven't done it in a while :D

Hey Sexah!

Colors : Pink Carnation, Heavenly Blue, Black (BCC07 Color Challenge)

Stamps : Grumpabella

Accents : Buttons (tres jolie), Ribbon (various), pop dots

For another Bella color and sketch challenge. I started out planning to use snowbunny Bella with these colors but changes my mind as I was looking through papers to use. Love these colors together though I was very hesitant and even stumped as to what to do with them. Tried the ribbon blossom again, this one turned out a lot better! Sentiment printed from my computer with the 'violation' font.

Celebrate a Bella

Colors : Holiday Red, Clover Meadow, Heavenly Blue (BCC06 color challenge)

Stamps : Prezziebella, Groovy, From Me to You

Accents : Ribbons, Eyelets, Flower Brads, Small circle paper clip, Pop dots, Prisma Glitter

More Bella Challenges, color and sketch. I also tried making one of those ribbon blossoms that Pam Bassett makes. Hers are so cute and way better than mine lol. Check them out on her blog Indigo Studio. She also has a tutorial there on how to make them. I just need more practice :D and some more ribbon!

Procrastinate It Bella

Colors : Clover Meadow, Grey Wool, Grey Flannel, White Daisy (for BCC04 Color Challenge)

Stamps : Grumpabella, Reminders

Accents : Circle Paper Clip, Black Brad, Ice Stickles

Another card with the Bella Challenges. I'm trying to do them all before next week :D. I wasn't too crazy about this color challenge and the first thought that came to my head was if only I had golfabella or tennisbella lol. This is what I came up with though. I like it better than I did last night when I finished making it. Glitter is also on her cup o' joe :D.

Princess Pamperbella

Colors : Baby Pink, Sweet Leaf, Heavenly Blue

Papers : Sweet Harmony

Stamps : Bubblebella

Accents : Ice Stickles, Rhinestones, Clear flower button, Big Blooms, Ribbon (Col White Ribbon Rounds)

Cuttlebug embossing on the green CS. For 2 bellas challenges. A color and sketch challenge. I wasn't to big on this sketch after gluing everything down because the top left seemed a bit empty. So I printed the primp polish and pamper in pink carnation to try to fill the space. The sketch is actually for one of the taller bellas but I wanted to use this one with these colors. :D

Clickabella

Colors : Ocean, Cranberry, Sweet Leaf (for the SCS CC147 color challenge)

Stamps : Clickabella, Playful Flourishes, For Every Occasion

Accents : Buttons (various), Rhinestones, Waxy Flax, Ice Stickles Crystal, Prisma Glitter, Ribbon (GG ribbon rounds, CTMH), Flowers (Prima)

Done for three challenges on SCS. The color and sketch challenge from my weekly inkling and an old Bella challenge, Everything but the kitchen sinkabella. Which basically is a no limits card. I was a litte upset with the pencils after I finished coloring just because the colors weren't exactly what I wanted lol. I need to get a new set, at least 1/4 of them are missing. They are just cheapy pencils too, the little rose art brand. They are actually my daughter's pencils lol, but I don't have any of my own yet so I've been using hers :D. She keeps getting mad too because I haven't let her use them lately lol. I keep telling her to use her crayons but she wants the pencils instead. Anyway, I wish I had some neat pattern paper for these color challenges. Some of the combos seem really strange when I read them, but so far they have all turned out pretty well.

Prezziebella

Colors : Spring Iris, Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, Pink Carnation, White Daisy

Stamps : Prezziebella, It's a Party

Accents : Ice Stickles, Prisma Glitter, Pop dots, Mini Rhinestones

Another bella card for some bella challenges. BCC03 color challenge with Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, Regal Rose, and Tempting Turquoise. I got the colors as close as I could with the CTMH cardstock. Also uses the BSC04 sketch from SCS. Sweet Leaf cuttlebug embossed with the birthday folder then sanded. Edges sanded for all mats and background paper sanded in a criss cross pattern then stamped with spring iris. Bracket traced and cut out from dimentional elements simple alpha, stickles on the birthday and prisma on the present. Present is also cut out and pop dotted. Bella colored in with pencils as usual :D.

Girl's Night In

Colors : Holiday Red, Cranberry, Buttercup, Black, White Daisy

Papers : Carnival B&T (retired)

Stamps : pmsabella

Accents : ribbon, black eyelets, yellow brads, prisma glitter

Done for a couple Bella challenges on SCS. BCC05 color challenge (real real and barely banana), and the BC1 sketch. PMSabella also looks like a showabella to me :D My bella is watching Heroes. Cuttlebug embossing on the yellow and a little bit of ink distressing on the edges of the white. This was a pretty fun card to make, the hardest part was coloring in my bella since I wanted to just use the red, yellow, and black. Sentiment printed from my computer with the Tweed font and on pop dots. Prisma glitter on her popcorn.

Color Challenges

So I've been wanting to do some of the color challenges and the Bella color challenges on SCS. Unfortunately they do them all in SU colors so I composed a list of the colors and how they compare to ours as best as I could. I thought if I needed them, someone else might need them as well. I had seen a list like this a month or so back but can't seem to find it now :S. Anyway here it is.
